Taj Indian Grocery & Sweets

A Nice grocery store in Salem with a wide selection of fresh spices, lentils, snacks, and frozen foods. The store is well-organized, and prices are reasonable. Friendly staff and a convenient place for authentic Indian ingredients!

Excellent experience. They have an impressive selection of spices, teas, rice, lentils, and various other sundries. They also have a selection of desserts that I believe are homemade. Very kind and attentive service. There is a note at their register stating that they prefer cash but will accept cards. They are a small business and probably get charged a fee for card transactions (corporate greed). I'm very glad I drove down here and will return as soon as I need more stuff.

I love shopping at Taj. The spices and different products are exceptional quality, which makes the low prices even more incredible. They have a fantastic variety and so many interesting, delicious things to try. Best of all is the customer service. The lady who always helps us (the owner?) is so genuinely kind and eager to help- the authenticity of her customer service is what makes Taj so special. It is a pleasure to recommend Taj. I am always excited when it’s time to make a stop.

Taj is truly one of my favorite stores in Salem!! I frequent their establishment a number of times a month. They have every grocery item I need and want to create a healthy and beautiful meal for my family and friends. On a personal note, every time I visit, I am welcomed like a honored friend and guest. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable and willing to take all the time you need when asking about the thousands of quality ingredients, cookware and flavors of the dish you want to make. The only Indian store in the Salem area. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. They don’t have the largest of collection but pretty much have all the basic necessities for Indian cooking. The lady is also very helpful is finding things in the store if you are lost. I usually am able to find some fresh vegetables in the store but otherwise they do let you know if they are going to be in stock soon
